Engage Texas is a ministry that mobilizes three to four person teams of college students to transform churches and communities with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Engage teams will partner with established churches as well as church plants to transform their community with the gospel. Here are a few things teams will be a part of leading:

  • Evangelism Training & Outreach
  • Kid's Sports Camps
  • Worship Gatherings
  • Block Parties
  • M3 Camp Glorieta, NM (Students will learn how to plans, setup, coordinate, and excute a large scale student camp.)

Your students will be challenged to share their faith through servant evangelism. At night students and leaders will provide free van rides to spring breakers looking to get spring broke! Students will also provide a free pancake breakfast to spring breakers in the mornings. Your students will be saturated in ministry. They will also get to have some time off on the beach!

Your college students can be mobilized when a disaster strikes. Disasters create sudden and unexpected opportunities for immediate ministry. No area of mission action requires more rapid response than disaster relief. The SBTC has a Disaster Relief trailer that is equipped with all the tools needed to do mud out and chain saw ministry. Being equipped to minister in a

disaster area is Christian love in action and meeting urgent needs in crisis situations. Not only will physical needs be met, but spiritual needs will be met as well.

Training is simple and is only one day. From January – May, every month, there is a training held somewhere in Texas. Training for your group is available at your church as well. Why train? Each participant will get credentials to identify them in the disaster area. They will also get the skills, safety instruction, and team building which are crucial in a disaster area.

SBTC Collegiate Ministry encourages those interested in mission opportunities to use either NAMB and/or IMB. Both of these are Southern Baptist Missions Ministries and are supported by Southern Baptist offerings given through Southern Baptists Churches. They are also offical ministry partners of the SBTC. The SBTC Missions Department supports several mission opportunities both in North America and globally. Please visit their site NAMB / IMB for more information.
